Bueng Kan Innovation College, UDRU Joins Provincial Mobile Agricultural Clinic Project to Transfer Farming Innovations and Elevate Local Livelihoods
Bueng Kan Innovation College of Udon Thani Rajabhat University collaborates with Bueng Kan Province to operate the Mobile Agricultural Clinic Project under Royal Patronage at Nasawan Pittayakom School, delivering agricultural consultations, technological solutions, and research-backed community outreach.
Context & Rationale
This agricultural service and community outreach initiative centered on the Mobile Agricultural Clinic Project under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, organized in honor of His Majesty the King's Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2025. Held on July 24, 2025, at Nasawan Pittayakom School, Mueang Bueng Kan District, Bueng Kan Province, Udon Thani Rajabhat University assigned Mr. Nirandorn Seehanam from Bueng Kan Innovation College as its official representative. The primary rationale of this project is to deliver immediate, research-backed agricultural solutions directly to rural farmers. By deploying area-based agricultural innovations and technology transfer, the project aims to enhance food security, strengthen the grassroots economy, and sustainably improve the quality of life for local farming communities.
Activities & Operations
On July 24, 2025, proactive academic outreach operations were executed through mobile clinic units at Nasawan Pittayakom School. Key activities included delivering comprehensive agricultural consultations and problem-solving services covering crops, soil quality, livestock, and fisheries. Researchers transferred area-based agricultural innovations and practices to local farmers and residents. Furthermore, practical insights and field data gathered during the operations were directly integrated into the university's teaching frameworks and curriculum development, aligning academic instruction with real-world community needs.
Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships
The successful execution of this public service project demonstrated robust institutional stewardship and multi-agency synergy at the provincial level. The academic lead was driven by Bueng Kan Innovation College, Udon Thani Rajabhat University (represented by Mr. Nirandorn Seehanam), working in direct partnership with Bueng Kan Province and provincial agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. This public coalition collaborated closely with Nasawan Pittayakom School and local farmer groups across Mueang Bueng Kan District.
Project Outputs
As a direct outcome of these joint operations, local farmers across Mueang Bueng Kan District received comprehensive agricultural diagnostics and expert problem-solving services. Moreover, the project successfully transferred area-based agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices to the community. Ultimately, it established a functional feedback loop that embeds field-derived insights into university course materials for sustainable regional development.
Outcomes
The project aims for comprehensive outcomes across 3 key dimensions:
- SDG 2 (Zero Hunger / Sustainable Agriculture): Supports sustainable food production systems and resilient agricultural practices by transferring farm technology, resolving pest and soil degradation issues, and enhancing crop yields, directly fortifying food security and grassroots farm incomes.
- SDG 15 (Life on Land): Promotes the protection and sustainable management of terrestrial ecosystems by transferring eco-friendly soil conservation practices, bio-agent inputs, and sustainable land management techniques to mitigate land degradation.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): Demonstrates strong institutional stewardship through a multi-sectoral partnership linking higher education (UDRU), provincial government bodies (Bueng Kan Province), and local educational institutions (Nasawan Pittayakom School) to drive localized, sustainable development.
