Management Science Students of UDRU Win Major National Awards at the Enactus Thailand 2025 Competition

Context and Rationale

The remarkable achievement of the students from the Faculty of Management Science, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, officially recognized on June 10, 2025, at the faculty's office, is fundamentally rooted in integrating management knowledge, social innovation, and grassroots economic development (Research and Innovation). Competing under the concepts “YOUTH CAN DO IT” and “WE ARE GEN:RE” at the “Enactus Thailand National Exposition 2025,” the team showcased the project “Conservation, Restoration, and Upgrading of Ancient Sri Wiang Tan Woven Fabric.” This project demonstrates the potential of youth in applying knowledge to sustainably preserve and elevate community cultural heritage.

Activities and Operations

The student team executed the project through community engagement, social enterprise frameworks, and competitive presentations at the national level. These activities closely connect with teaching and learning (Teaching) and community outreach (Outreach), enabling students to apply academic competencies to solve real-world community challenges while fostering social responsibility and innovation skills.

Partnerships

This success reflects the robust internal stewardship and resource management (Stewardship) of the Faculty of Management Science, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pana Dulyapat, Dean of the Faculty, along with faculty advisors who provided continuous support and mentorship. It also highlights strong collaborative partnerships with the Sri Wiang Tan weaving community and the Rakkaew Foundation in driving sustainable community impact.

Outcomes The project aims for outcomes covering 2 dimensions, which are:

SDG 1 Dimension (No Poverty): The project promotes grassroots economic development and community income generation by upgrading traditional Sri Wiang Tan fabrics and empowering youth entrepreneurship, thereby reducing poverty and elevating local living standards (achievements recognized on June 10, 2025).

SDG 11 Dimension (Sustainable Cities and Communities): The project supports the safeguarding and promotion of local cultural heritage, harnessing youth and community synergy to build economic and cultural resilience alongside sustainable community development.
