UDRU Faculty of Management Sciences Undergoes Official Assessment for Green Office Certification 2025
The Faculty of Management Sciences at Udon Thani Rajabhat University welcomes an expert audit committee for the official 2025 Green Office assessment across 6 core categories, advancing sustainable campus management, energy conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.
Context & Rationale
This environmental auditing and institutional sustainability initiative centered on the "Official Green Office Assessment 2025," conducted on August 18, 2025, at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU). Led by Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Pana Dulyapat alongside executive members, faculty, and administrative staff, the faculty welcomed an expert auditing committee. The primary rationale of this assessment is to evaluate and verify institutional compliance with national Green Office standards. By assessing energy efficiency, waste reduction, indoor environmental quality, and eco-friendly behavior, the faculty reinforces its commitment to developing a sustainable, low-carbon campus environment.
Activities & Operations
On August 18, 2025, comprehensive audit procedures were executed across 6 core Green Office evaluation categories. Key operational activities encompassed executive presentations of environmental policies, structured interviews with category heads, verification of empirical evidence, and physical site inspections. Auditors evaluated building energy and lighting management, solid and hazardous waste segregation, indoor safety standards, and Green Procurement records.
Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships
The successful execution of this environmental evaluation was driven by a multi-stakeholder collaboration between higher education leadership and external environmental experts. The institutional host was led by the Faculty of Management Sciences, UDRU (presided over by Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Pana Dulyapat), operating in direct synergy with an expert auditing panel comprising Mr. Pharitlert Boonlert (Environmental & International Standards Advisor), Mr. Suprakit Thongdee (Environmental Expert), Ms. Rotjana Intharatirat (Director of Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Division), and Ms. Kansinee Duangdee (Senior Professional Environmental Officer).
Project Outputs
As a direct outcome of these joint operations, the Faculty of Management Sciences successfully completed its 2025 Green Office audit across all 6 core categories. Moreover, the faculty received expert recommendations to further refine its environmental management systems, while strengthening eco-friendly operational habits among staff members across the organization.
Outcomes
The project aims for comprehensive outcomes across 5 key dimensions:
- SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): (Primary Goal) Advances sustainable institutional management by auditing waste reduction, hazardous waste handling, and sustainable public procurement (Target 12.7) across faculty operations.
- SDG 13 (Climate Action): (Co-Primary Goal) Mitigates institutional carbon footprints through verified low-carbon office practices, energy reduction metrics, and climate change awareness.
- SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): Enhances building energy efficiency through structured auditing and monitoring of electrical energy utilization.
- SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation): Audits water conservation measures and wastewater management to comply with environmental health standards.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): Strengthens multi-stakeholder partnerships bridging a regional university (UDRU) and national environmental experts/auditors to drive sustainable organizational governance.
